Let me put the cuppa on...

why the hell do paki's drink SO much tea?

and has anyone actually tasted how yucky paki tea is? and how long it takes to make it?

is anyone here mad about tea and drink 5-6 cups a day?

aint too much caffiene bad for u?

are u a coffee or a tea lover?

and how can u drink tea in this heat?

english tea is the best Dirol

btw why DO many people think that all the problems in the world can be resolved by "putting the cuppa on"

Tea probably works to keep people awake. In one of these 'Muslim contributions' articles I read about how Muslims in the Classical age would drink lots of tea because it kept people awake despite their lack of sleep for having to wake up for fajr. Don't know how much fajr has contributed to the tea culture.

Drinking tea probably gives people something to do whilst having a conversation. It fills in for the awkward silences when no-one has anything to say.

Too much caffeine is bad for you. Guys should stay away from Red Bull.

Apparently tea keeps you cool in the heat. Strange, I know. Maybe it's just a bit of tea legend.

It's not only Pakis who drink alot of tea. What about the English, the Chinese?

People sort problems by "putting the kettle" on because it gives them the opportunity to sit and talk. You're not going anywhere while you're waiting for the kettle to boil and then for your tea to cool so you let it all out. Maybe Pakistani tea is better for this purpose because it takes longer to cool.

In conclusion, doodh patti is much better than that thin watery stuff.

I never thought it was possible for me write so much about tea. I hardly ever drink it.

LOL

thank u for ur detailed reply

yes-english and others do also drink a lot of tea

btw dooth patti is yucky

and paki tea is smelly which is ironic since indians grow the best tea leaves in the world

EDIT: why are u promoting Mpac? i dont see u promoting the revival in the mpac forum

loooool That's just what i was thinking yesterday. I was having ice cream and my elders were sipping on tea late afternoon...crazy.

I have one cuppa tea with breakfast- English tea. Used to have 2 a day cut down.

I'm not crazy about Indian tea. When i want tea i want it asap, not 30 mins later so forget the indian stuff. Asians brew it so long like they're making a Daal dish!

I only have 1 cup a day with my breakfast not bad is it? It's the English stuff all the way, Indian tea isn't worth the toil or taste. But i'd never drink tea outside it usually looks like a cup of dish water..very very thin, murky and bland.

P.S i been told tea can quench your thirst..temporarily but downside it also dehydrates you so.... go with the cold stuff in hot weather.

This topic is empathically focused on Pakistan and its tea. Besides the Pakistani tea culture have you experience any other culture's other then your own?

We both from London, this shouldn’t be difficult.

Your damn right!

I like tea but mostly in the mornings only, it just wakes me up so its like a must however I can stay without it, not addicted or anything.

One of my cuz hasn't ever tried tea

that's coz you need a caffeine fix Mez..hate to tell you this but you're hooked on caffeine

open ur eyes Shazan ONLY THE FIRST TWO sentences of my opening post is "empathically focused on Pakistan and its tea"

the rest of the questions are for everyone

but then again I'm not surprised since its obvious that u have more then an issue with Pakistani's as ur past threads have proven-maybe thats why u read more into what is actually being said

I used to drink two cups of English tea a day...morning and evening, I realised it wasnt good for me so now I only drink it if we happen to have cookies or some chocolate cake in the house in the evenings. Instead I usually drink about two cups of milk a day.

I cant stand the taste of cappuccino/coffee as it usually takes me about 5 sugars to get rid of the bitterness…yet one of my favourite pastimes is catching up with friends in coffee shops.

Arab tea is really nice….

I dislike the smell and taste of Pakistani tea and apparently I make rubbish Pakistani tea.

I’m looking to buy some decent green tea next time I’m shopping cos apparently that stuff is good for you…

That past thread is an issue your own ignorance wont allow to learn and understand what was a humiliating decade and time for Muslims in Bangladesh.

What issue do I have with Pakistani? Can anyone else in this forum testify with you that "I have issue" whatever issue they are.

What have we learnt from this thread, a generalising comment made by you that Pakistani make “yucky paki tea”, and contrary to what I have tasted at my friends abode. Blum 3

And I thought using the term “Paki” is racist?

Or does that make you exempt for using it because your not white?

“Paki” is not always considered a racist term…offence depends on the context/situation and the person’s intention…

In some cases, “Paki” is just shorthand for “Pakistani”.

salaam

lol ne excuse to argue!!

yes i find traditional "paki" tea disgusting!! amazes me how people can drink it in gallons and again on a hot day!!

i have to have one cup of tea in morn otherwise suffer headaches during the day. also tea isnt as bad as some people are making it out to be it is an antioxidant!! preventing cellular damage!!

the Pharse "paki" i must say i agree with MS in which context u use it but i still get a tad cheesed off when a non pakistani uses it!! for sum reason my ears pop open and i think to myself she did not just say "PAKI" lol i have no idea y i get that??

I like tea i never used to but when i quit smoking and messing about, hence grew up i took up tea drinking in my spare time. I only drink about 1 cup a day and only english tea, pakistani tea is really really unhealthy.

Coffee is just rank, yuk.

Islam is the Key to paradise but without practice it won't open the gates.

i love drinking tea i have it three time a day religiously cuz if i dont i get so tired n become so moody, dont knw why it keeps me awake, il have to have it once in the morning anf twice after school its a family thng at home every single member of the family sips and drink tea like crazy i remember during exam time i had like 6/7 cups during the late hours of the night and the early hours of the morning iv always had tea since i was really young i am so addicted to it, cant live without it, even when i used to wake up late for school id go to school come my free lessons n buy a cup of tea, during ramadan i still had like two cups of tea

No Saadia I don’t like arguing nor do I look to pick fights, I’m a peaceful man. But I like Pakistani tea and its Mango’s, and off course the roti- you fellow Muslim should appreciate your tea. Wink
