I have to say that the way Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad describes the celebration of the Mawlid... we generally fall way short, and often the celebrations do not seem as joyous as they should be.

Interesting that he considers it an excellent form of Da'wah, as it is something non Muslims can understand greater than even the concept of the two Eid's and how it affected him as a new convert.
