Fasting Ramadan and the 6 days of Shawwal is like fasting for a lifetime:







Abu Ayyoob (Ra) reported that the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said:



“Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime.” (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah).







Subhanallah how generous is Allah who gives without measure!



We have until the 17th of Sepember to keep these 6 fasts so let us grab these immense rewards otherwise there will only be utter regret in the Hereafter.

I've done two already, and will be starting with the rest from tomorrow. Insh'Allah

 

I asked Ther Revival Q&A txt about this. The asnwer was:

"Salam. The Shawwal fast are separate so a sister needs to fast her missed [Ramadan] fasts as they are fardh then any time within shawwal she can fast the nafl fasts to gain the reward of fasting for the whole year. Wasalaam."
