Salam, my name is ruksar and i am new to this website. My question today is related to 'what makes YOU a muslim''?
I am asking this question because i would like people to stop for once and think carefully and deeply about it.
I find myself asking myself this question and ended up exploring things and start thinking from a different point of view to find answers. So please have a go and goodluck

Yes surely those things might make you a muslim.
But i am asking is about YOU, You as a person who believes in islam, what makes you a muslim? there is not such thing as fake muslims or real muslims, apart praying 5 times a day, what other things in your life makes you a Creation of Allah ta'laa?
is it just your shirt that makes you a muslim lol?
belief.
Actions may not always be there etc, but belief is.
What makes me Muslim is the conviction that God exists and that Islam is the right way.

would be lost without islam... as human i know that i sin but also know that Allah is all forgiving inshAllah.... daily prayers and dua is what brings me peace at the end of the day...its not only that what makes me muslim but its what brings me peace...knowing that Allah has blessed me with the religion of islam and everything else in life...and i have to be thankful for that as much as i can of ever moment of every day...whether its remembering Allah swt or reciting a simple dua .... its islam as a whole way of life which is special even if we dont abide by all of it atleast put in the effort and pray for forgiveness.

it's a question not just to be answered but a question for each of you to think about it, and many people i askd this question was confused and said they would get back at me,when they keep saying ISLAm is the best and it's true but this is not just a question we could answer this easily.
if you were asked, what makes you a HUMAN?
you would say, Our DNA, our faces, our organs and etc etc
but why when we are asked what MAKEs us muslims, why is it so hard to describe? is that a good or bad thing?

belief influences actions. so it IS about belief, what you believe in is reflected in how you act and stuf...

You haven't told us what makes You a Muslim.
I'm rather confused. You're saying everyone having the belief /aqeedah doesn't make you a muslim nor does practicing Islam by following the rvles. Right?
So what does? Cuz that is what I thought makes u a Muslim.
Your e.g of non-muslims also not smoking etc is a bit like a tomboy - just cuz she dresses like a boy doesn't make her a boy. Nor does it mean theboy isn't a boy bcuz d girl is dressed lyk him and isnt a boy. Does that make sense?
