Why do I like planes so much?

Ive just been trying to figure this one out. why is it that i like planes and flying so much?

right now its a pretty blank blank. i really cant think of anything "concrete".

the only thing ive come up with so far is:

I like flying because of the travelling, of the amazingness that is an aeroplane, because i get to carry people to places, because of how humans have shorten distances so much and linked the whole world together and made going places a lot easier.

but this doesnt feel like its IT. it's close..especially the bit about the amazingness of the aeroplane but its not quite IT! and its ARGH-ing me!! I WANT TO KNOW!

the view...the travelling... the "little me is in control of this huge thing carrying so many people"... isnt it just amazing?!

how can anyone not want to fly a plane!

and no, i dont wanna fly without a purpose.

and yeah, i most probably im totally crazy, i just watched a doc abt a HELIOS flight. it crashed. everybody, all 121 people died. yet... im undeterred.

also. ive decided i wont ever drive a BMW until they become "green". thats a big decision. BMW's make me feel nearly the same as flying a plane does. who knows why..i'd just have to revisit my childhood to find out ithihnk....

It's a little odd that you don't know why you like something so much lol

Why BMWs specifically? And not any other car?

"How many people find fault in what they're reading and the fault is in their own understanding" Al Mutanabbi

The problem with BMWs is that they are all rear wheel drive (with the exception of hte 4x4s) which means they are crap in snow and when the road is icy. Your usually better with a front wheel drive car.

I was gonna get a 1st series BMW but decided against it because of the above reason. And due to the lack of space in the rear.

But today I saw the NEW Mercedes A Class. Its not been released here yet (think the man said its due to be released in December 2012) but he brought a demo car over to our work place to show. It looked like a much more awesome version of the BMW 1 series. So inshallah maybe i'll get one of those.

Also Planes are awesome! Being Able To Fly = Pure Freedom Smile

I'd love to drive a car which flies.

Not a car person but after eading your post I had a look online. Surprised at how much the new A class has changed and seems like a new 1 series from BMW as opposed to a successor to the old A class.

The emphasis was on Lilly's love for planes and not the manly knowledge of cars.

The Merc rep who turned up in the ar ACTUALLY described it as a better looking BMW 1st series. So those are HIS words. Not mine. But i see what he means. Its a hot hatch Smile

Wrong again. The Mercedes A Class is front wheel drive all the way Smile
