8 obligations of Salaah

obligations must be done, if left out my ignorance of forgetfullness the salaah is still valid but the sujoods of distraction must be done. If deliberately left out then salaah becomes invalid.

  1. all of the takbiraat
  2. saying "subhanarabbiyal 'adheem in rukoo' (at least once)
  3. saying sami'allahou liman hamida
  4. saying Rabbana wa lakalhamd
  5. saying Subhana rabbiyal a'laa in sujood (at least once)
  6. saying Rabighfirlee when sitting between sujoods (at least once)
  7. The first Tashahud
  8. Sitting during the first tashahud

    • I've never heard of this before and very nearly had a heart attack when I googled it and the first site I clicked on mentioned it - the second site, didn't though! And nor does this revival on how to perform salah. *phew*

    The books i had when I first converted said it was part of prayer, and the guy who taught me to pray did too.
