Arkansas cop tasers 10-year-old girl

Mother backs electric justice for unruly child

An Arkansas cop has been suspended after tasering a ten-year-old girl who repeatedly "screamed, kicked and resisted" when her mother attempted to get her to have a shower before bed.

Officer Dustin Bradshaw was called to a "domestic disturbance" in Ozark on 11 November, where he found the girl "curled up on the floor, screaming", according to his report.

Bradshaw wrote that the girl was "violently kicking and verbally combative", and noted: "Her mother told me to tase her if I needed to."

the mother deserves to be tased. Children do all sorts of things to test their parents. If as her father suggests she has emotional problems, then she obviously needs professional "care" from ppl who actually care and will do the best for the child's health and future. Does the mother think calling the cops, and having her daughter treated like a criminal will i don't know improve her "emotional" problems?

If the child refused to have a bath and began throwing a tantrum, then she should have ignored her. Once she realised she wasn't getting any attention or reward for her behaviour she would have stopped. Thereafter her mother could have got in touch with health professionals to help the child, to figure out why she was acting up so violently.

such a sad story...point being that this is what children do...if they wont scream kick and shout at this age then when will they do it...it's just what kids do....some parents need to let go of their culture and work towards a better future.

Its easy to say after the fact and when things are calm. However when your nerves are frayed and are at whit's end, things may not look so simple. And people make bad choices too.

Violence can solve a lot of problems.
