THE Crown Office has been accused of double standards by Scotland's biggest Islamic group for not bringing terrorism charges against a man who threatened to blow up a mosque and behead Muslims.
The Scottish Islamic Foundation (SIF) has written to Lord Advocate Elish Angiolini querying the decision to prosecute Neil MacGregor for a breach of the peace, not terrorism offences.
MacGregor, 35, has admitted threatening to blow up Scotland's biggest mosque and to behead one Muslim a week until every mosque was shut down...

erm... Muslims have (well, a muslim has) been convicted of terrorism related crimes over writing "terrorist poetry" on the back of receipts while at work.
Even if he was making it up, there is the principle of fairness.
There is also the case of the BNP guy who got caught with the largest haul of explosives found in the UK since WW2, and he was planning to use them too. Even he did not get charged with terrorism related erm... charges.

Fully legal - HT are not a banned organisation. Al Mouhajiroun no longer exist (I think), though their members still do and have created other organisations, which are legal.
You miss the point - the guy had massive amounts explosives and was planning to use them. He was not charged with terrorism.
A Muslim writing bad poetry WAS charged with terrorism.

Neither did Samina Malik (the "lyrical terrorist"), whearas what she did was private and less likely to be discovered by someone else, what McGregor did was public and more likely to incite hatred.
