Here The Great 100"]The one comparing a heart depending on Allah to a fish swimming in water is terribly phrased.A couple say Islam is the religion of equality. THE religion of equality. If you believe in equality, believe in Islam. Now it seems to me in Islam that men and women are very unequal, that Muslim and non-Muslim are very unequal, that married and unmarried are very unequal and that within the ummah are sects who specifically denounce other sects as the unsaved. Whatismore many Muslims argue for defending a Muslim who is lying over a non-Muslim, but not over a Muslim. So, um, how is Islam REALLY the religion of equality? Are these phrases honest or just intended to be convincing?

Why is that saying terribly phrased?
Muslims believe that in the remembrance of Allah (swt) hearts find peace…hearts are designed to be in a state of peace and tranquillity….however, when one is far away from the remembrance of Allah (swt) the heart falls into turmoil, agitation and unhappiness…..much like how a fish feels out of water.

wohay blue peter badge for the man who spotted a grammer mistake.. Muslim sister explained it very well mashAllah.
How is Islam the Religion of Equality?
The Qur'an the final revelation from Allah, suggest it is the religion of Equality. I've not come across anything Allah has said which suggests inequality.
To be fair.. the only inequality in Islam are amongst those who sin and those who perform good deeds. Sinners get Hell, Muslims get Jannah.
But you knew that already

The first bit should say "To the heart" and I would have put a comma and a full stop in there. I had to read it three times to understand it.
Gentleness and kindness were never a part of anything except that it made it beautiful, and harshness was never a part of anything except that it made it ugly.

And the Muslims (i.e. me) who sin?...Limbo? (I guess that would be an apt place: how low can you go)
As for inequality, 100's right. The man is not equal to the woman. Thats a good thing, and a compliment to the nature of women; unfortunately culture and ignorance can bring harmful inequities to the religion.

Dawud,
Sounds fair.
Khan,
Thanks for the badge. Surely you mean pious Muslims will be rewarded and sinners (including Muslim sinners) will go to hell and if you're being generous and admitting you have no idea, you could say all pious people, Muslim or nay, will be rewarded.

absolutely.. sinners will go to hell as well..
and no pious unbelievers will not go to jannah as a non-muslim is committing a sin as he is denying the word of Allah,.
u knew that as well

What's this 'you knew that' business? If we're talking about what I believe it is closest to the second option I stated, that all good deeds are counted, measured and credited and that bad deeds will be accounted for also, and that is upon all of us.

I find it frustrating at times that Asians (read pakistani's) have really bad spelling when they make signs in English.
It looks amatuerish. (we at The Revival have more spelling issues than an entire school of 7 years olds! )
If someone has good intentions, but bad practice, I think its fair that the issues should be pointed out so they can be fixed.

That all non-Muslims go to hell? Disgusting. No, I didn't know that and I don't assume all Muslims would agree.

Minor in this case, as its just a stupid sig.
None of this is important in any way, so saying its minor is just well... minor.

So why do the sigs say Islam is The Religion of Equality? Isn't this a lot of rubbish?
