New default Revival theme

1. The box where the person posts a new topic should be a different colour/shade to the comments underneath.

2. The grey makes the website look like its from the 80s.

3. The only orange on the entire website is the logo which makes the rest of the colours clash.

4. Why has the revolving thing with all the tags in disappeared?!!!!!!!!!!! That was the only feature which kept the website interesting. Now its dead.

5. The recent posts section should take up more room than the grey boxes on the right hand side.

I wasn't going to vote but eventually went with Why? Why has revvy gone backwards? Why has the theme gone dull? Why has the orange gone? Why has the moving thingy with the tags gone? Why does the red just stand out? Why can't the theme be switched back? Why is injustice being done to the revival? Just why...

wouah... the tag cloud was not the only thing that kept the site alive. its okay if its down for now. i like the red. i wish the top of the grey boxes wasnt a darker shade of grey but maybe another colour, tried orange? (as people want more orange lol)

dont know what to vote..i think yay but still needs improving.

Is it true? Is it kind? Is it necessary?

I would advise against too much red or orange.

And I would advise against too much grey.

If i'm really honest, i would be put off if i randomly visited this site.

I'm still getting used to the concept of having things on the right and not the left.

+1 to that, everything on the right is weird, although before there were things on the other hand side of the page too, now it looks too empty.

And too much grey! Another colour would have been fine, grey makes it look boring, whilst another colour may have made it look far bolder.

And I also agree with _Me_ about the revolving thing, it made linking pages much easier and it looked cool

T.

Can you make the default font and size in the blogs the same as before?

agreed

will you not change the darker grey?

Is it possible to activate anonymous posting just for when someone may want to write a blog or reply anonymously. You can disable it if people abuse it...

that would be nice ... or have  throwaway accounts lol

also, have the ability to set who can read our blogs (the whole world vs registered users)

and i hope we really can one day make the "blog" bit more personal!! there should be a "my blog" button in the taskbar. and when you go there, less revviness, more userness.

I thought anonymous replies worked? (Though sometimes they get caught by th spam filter or need approval before others can see them)

Anonymous blogs don't though.

I had to approve the above post, so it didnt get straight through the spam filter.

Which one and what to?

I would just like to say the votes of the active members should count more for everyone who has voted And I think most active members approve of the new theme though we want slight changes etc, so this should be taken into account when considering the poll suggesting more people want the old theme Blum 3 (I kid, though I don't understand why so many people prefer the old one!)

i really wish it would be so big..i had to put my screen zoom at 50% for it to be a decent size. and then google end up TINY.

I've just about started to get used to the new theme but for me, it looks too boring and bland especially when I'm using a PC or laptop. There's no colour to it and no sparkle. (But If i'm using the iPad it doesn't look as bad and looks more non-PC, non-laptop focussed).

i liked what Titanium said except, for the tribby and poll comments.

The comment font and the tribune font is the same.

But due to a freak of nature, its at different sizes - font size 15 on tribune, 13.8 (rounded up or down, i assume up) on comments.

In the main content (blogs/articles), it is back to 15. I think it doesn't look as good at the larger size. I tried alternatives but Verdana seems to have the best readability.

For the titles, the font (Rokkitt) has some flaws, where it doesn't always render well (the thin bottom line on the E is not supposed to be thin - see it on a non winows platform and it), especially at the large size that it is being used for.

I might change the fonts with Droid Sans for titles, Open Sans for text.

The top menu uses "Source Sans Pro" by Adobe.

I don't understand why Titanium is saying it's too skinny on the laptop and LTS is saying it's too big. Seems fine to me :S

Looking To See is using Internet Explorer. I have commented on the image she uploaded.

It seems that some work needs to be done to make it work on there - I did not test it on there.

I tried to change the font size on my blog but it didn't seem to work

There was a time when when you uploaded an image you could change the size of it and the size changing would work. I tried playing around with them today, large, banner and whatever the option is but it didn't seem to make a difference at all. Just thought i should let you know that.

And also, today i tried sending a PM but i typed one line because that's all i wanted to say and a red message told me: 'You must include a message in your reply'. So i tried again and it didn't work. Then i thought - maybe i should PM yourself but the same thing happened.

Messages should work again now - I had to disable the wysiwyg editor. An alternative is to click the minichat button next to the send button - all messages through there work.

Yupp - my testing, testing, one, two, three worked on you.
