Traveler with the Quran

My love for Arabic is kicking back in. It's kicking me so hard and all i want to do is listen to Arabic. Just want to listen to Arabic all day long and listen to the Quran all day long. I want to write this blog in Arabic but that would be pointless because i'd have to accompany it with English translation.

My first ever Chapatti

... Made without being forced by my mother. Made without being asked to do so by my mother. Made from the love in my heart. And the realisation that some day soon, I need to start learning even these basic things. I know it's not as perfect and not upto Asian standards but practice makes perfect eh? Some day i will join all you Chapatti masters out there!

Stamps, their sizes and their envelopes. I'm ouzzled.

Phew, I had thought that everything that i had written had disappeared but clicking the back button retrieved it all. Happy days. *Control-V*

Once upon a time if you wanted to send something within your own reach to the reach of another fellow human being you would have to use your legs to go there or you would send a letter addressed in their name. But life become a little easier and more convinient and people become more cleverer and lazier and so, the telephone came about in the 1870s. So this new invention was wonderful.

How do I know if I am being tested or punished?

I watched this video a week or two back. It's beautiful and powerful and I think YOU, yes YOU, person of Revvy who has opened this post should watch, okay? It's definitely one of those must-watch's and so i'd recommend it to you all. I hope it touches you in the same way that it touched me and continues to touch me. It also mentions Rida which i briefly explained in my previous blog. Let me know your thoughts or anything else you want to say.

Being pleased with Allah's decree

There was a new term that I came across a week or two ago. I don't know if i've heard of the meaning of this term before but even if i had known, i had forgotten about it anyway. So i was reminded and educated about it and the term is 'Rida'.

Rida is like a level of faith, a stage in life and an understanding of how and why things happen. It's when you're totally pleased and content with absolutely everything that is put before you because you accept that absolutely everything in your life is from Allah.

You are content and pleased with everything that comes your way; whether it's something you love, something you wish would happen again, something you aren't so sure about, something you'd run a mile away from or something that you wish never ever comes back!

Powerful tips for the Last 10 nights -

1. Do not let your 'performance' until now affect your last 10 days. The moment of forgiveness could be today or anytime in the coming days! It is not all lost! If you sincerely wish it could have been better - Chin up and get ready to make it your best yet! Start with a positive, sincere intention!

2. Today, take a little time to read the Tafseer of Surah al-Qadr to understand what actually happens this night! You will feel its power & greatness so much more!

3. Do not wait for the 27th Night to give it your "all". The entire last 10 days should be your target. Stay up each night! Would you want to miss Laylatul Qadr even "by chance"?

The Walk, not an ordinary WALK

After my time with my wordsearch, I spent about about an hour and a half sitting with my dad talking about 'stuff'. I can't remember a single word about what we had talked about but all i know is that we talked about 'stuff' whatever that 'stuff' was. Then for a couple of hours i have absolutely no idea what i did because my mind is just blank at the moment so i'll begin at the part that i can remember.

I decided to go into town to try and look for matching items for the dresses that i had bought a while back and a couple of things for one of my sisters too, but then my youngest sister and mother decided they wanted to come too, so the three of us were dropped off into town by my dad.

My Big Yellow Giant Wordsearch

I woke up this morning to come on Revvy to write a blog about some very strange happenings that I was embraced with yesterday morning but then i got caught up with commenting on all the current threads and this site is just getting busier Alhamdulillah.

Two nights ago, my dad took away all of our gadgets and kept them in the frontroom because he felt like it. Whyyyy dad whyyyy is what was going on in my head. But yes, i guess after his little talk on making the most of Ramadhan i guess i know why he took them away. That's when i realised how ADDICTED i am to a screen. Well not the screen. Things that i do ON this laptop that i don't know what i'd do without.

A fully grown pet CHEETAH

There is this man. I don't actually know what his name is but i think he's Arab. I found him somewhere on this world wide web. I think he's extremely brave and awesome and i've watched him and and i've been really amazed with my mouth looking like ------> :O

NO, i do not want to marry this guy and i don't fancy him because i don't know who he is, but i fancy something else that belongs to him. I am writing this blog to inform Titanium that this man has a FULLY GROWN PET CHEETAH. Can you believe it?
